Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayla White.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Photography for me started when I took a trip to Medellin, Colombia in 2015. This is when I bought my first camera. I use to just play around and use it for family and adventure. Then in 2018, my best friend wanted a photoshoot for his birthday. He didn’t want to spend a ton of money so I opened up and explained him that I have a camera and that I could take his pictures. So he allowed me to and I have been taking pictures ever since, Every since March 2, 2018, God has been showing out and providing for me through it and I thank him for it.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. It’s been a fun road though. I have enjoyed every bit of it. Starting from the process of just learning slight things all the way to learning the business aspects of it. The biggest struggle so far has been keeping steady clientele. It started off hard trying to reach out to people to allow me to work with them. I think it’s hard as a female photographer to reach certain people.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Focus Photography – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
So, I am a professional freelance photographer. I specialize in portrait photography, but I also do events, weddings, and much more. I am so proud of how much I’ve and how many people who have supported me. It was so hard at first, but now God has continued to bless me and bless the people who use my service. What sets Focus apart from anybody else is that we are driven to give you what you need and we make sure your experience with us is not only professional but fun. It’s not about us just taking your picture, but it’s about us creating a relationship with you.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am looking to bring a different style to my community and to my work.
